General Rules on Roleplaying:
1. Use proper spelling and grammar. Occasional typos are okay, and you need not use "English Class" language. Our main point is to have something literate and easily read. This means chatspeak is not okay. Do not use shortened versions of words such as "u r awesum" or "goin 2 the place". This is a literate roleplay forum. Occasional accidental typos are allowed, but frequent negligence or purposeful refusal to follow this rule will grant you a warning, followed by a ban. No suspension, no second chances.
2. Be descriptive. We prefer to see paragraphs, not one-liners. This also gives more options for following players.
3. Complete a roleplay profile for each new character. You are allowed to have as many characters as each world's rules specify, but keep in mind controlling a large number of characters means you must have the capability to control all of them responsibly.
4. Be prepared to face adult situations, such as gore or romance. This applies both to the poster and other players. Posters should not make excessively gory or sexual posts, and players should not react negatively to any posts including any amount of gory or romance. Limitations of adult situations should be specifically mentioned in each world's rules.
5. No unreadable fonts. If you expect someone to be able read your text and play properly, do not use tiny or massive fonts with or without incredibly light or dark colors. Custom text is okay, but not everyone likes to read Wingdings in white.
6. Try not to kill off your characters meaninglessly. If you no longer wish to play, you have every right to end your participation, either by ending their life or passing control to another person. If you wish to create a new character, you can either simply create a new one (depending if the world allows extra characters) or ask a world's leader if ending your character's life is alright. Specific rules regarding character deaths may be mentioned in each world's rules.
7. Nothing above PG-13 status. This includes gore, romance, and other adult situations. If you have an idea involving mature content and are unsure whether the content is allowed, message any staff member or world leader.
8. The consent of staff is needed for most everything. If you want to do something "out of the ordinary", ask a staff member for permission prior. This allows staff to double-check your idea and gives a record of written permission if any objections arise.
9. Profanity is also allowed, but keep it to a minimum. Your character should not be swearing more than three times in one post, even if swearing happens to be your character's favorite pastime. This includes "censored" words.
10. Follow the general rules at all times.
11. Under no circumstances do world's rules overpower the rules listed above. If there are any questions or objects, please message the Administrator or a Global Moderator.
12. Any rules not mentioned above are left to the jurisdiction of the world's leaders.
Remember to double-check the boards for any additional rules!
