I always have the absolute WORST time trying to find a decent picture for my characters. What do you guys do? Do you have a database or something, or do you just pick the first thing off google images?

That depends on whether you're willing to compromise your vision of the character. If you prefer accuracy to quality, like me, then you should draw them yourself. If you prefer quality, browsing deviantART is a good place to find pictures, though I'm not sure about how you would get permission for that.

Well, I'm sure nobody would care too much for a direct link to the image, only if we took it and called it our own. I'm sure plenty of roleplayers have done so.

DA's cool. I mostly use pictures from there. I also use Photobucket and Google Images, but those are hit and miss in terms of accuracy and quality. Although I'd say Photobucket is better than Google Images, unless you're looking for a canon character. Then they're about the same.
